Playing with yogurt is fun. There are so many different types of yogurt that you can always play with flavors. Greek, regular, non-fat, and frozen.
Greek yogurt is thicker, creamier and has more protein than regular yogurt, which gives the plain flavor a more sour tang. Regular yogurt has more liquid in it because of the straining process, which leaves more whey in the final product, making it milkier in flavor. Frozen yogurt isn’t infused with the same bacteria as the other versions and has more sugar added because they usually have fruit juices and pieces added to them. All are good for you while offering distinct differences in their taste.
So which one do you use?
Well, that depends on your own taste buds. I like greek yogurt for breakfast, regular yogurt for pies and frozen yogurt for pretty much any excuse I can make up.
Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game.
GOOD FOOD. GOOD FRIENDS. GOOD TIMES.
This particular parfait is fun, quick and easy. You can use or make flavored yogurts or you can mix vanilla yogurt with flavored extracts for different flavors. I enjoy playing with homemade extracts and different fruits, which makes breakfast an adventure. I try to eat yogurt at least once a week and enjoy the many combinations you can make with this introductory recipe.
